More Mullet

#1 Post by colin c »

Headed out for another bash at the mullet today to see if i could extend my lead on davy
Wasnt disappointed. As soon as i had a float in the water i missed a fish but didnt matter cause fish started feeding big time.
After about half an hour landed my first fish probably nudging towards 3 1/2 lb.
Missed a few more fish and lost another before my float got buried and a nice fish started going on big runs.Landed it after a cracking fight.tried to weigh this fish but the batteries had run out on Bobs scales but at a guess i would say it was very close to 6lb. :D :D
Missed a few more after that but didnt matter.I was a happy man and have now taken a commanding lead over Mr.Murdoch

It's great to see mullet getting caught already as it is still quite early in the season. Well done Colin, the couple of fish that you got look great, i bet you where chuffed with them.
I am going to try for them myself this year so fingers crossed i catch something (other than a cold!!!!)
I take it you have abit of a competitive streak in you and that you would love to catch more mullet than Davy this year. I don't think he will let that happen too easy though do you?

Colin,

You had replied to my question above and I read it but it has has now been deleted, why?
Did Davy read it and wasn't too happy with what you said so you took it off?

Not sure if Davy read it or not but i decided to delete it because when i called into his work the other day he looked seriously depressed. He looks run down and has aged slightly so i thought it was time to ease off on the banter.Looks as if he hasnt slept in days and it seems its all down to me catching more mullet.
I have also decided not to mullet fish for a month to let him catch a few and take the lead just so i can see him smile again :)
