Ferrybank, Wexford?
Hi, I'm thinking of heading off camping at the weekend. One spot I'd found was Ferrybank campsite in Wexford. Does anyone know how this fishes, tactics bait etc? If there are any other good spots for wild camping instead of on a site but within easy reach (taxi) of Wexford train station I would appreciate it as well. Thanks

i used to work in ferrybank with my uncle in the 80s so used to fish it a lot and to be honest have only ever take a few small schoolies from here and i havent fished in years so i can only go by what i used to do . the break water used to turn up some decent flounder and wexford bridge always produces a few schoolies . havent fished the marina yet but its meant to be decent enought. then you have kaats strand which produces good flounders eels and schoolies to crab and rag baits flappers will do

Thanks, are those areas within easy walking distance? I know Wexford but haven't been down there for ages.

Hi Adam,
You should try St. Margrets for Camping. This place is on the south Wexford Coastline. You would then have a chance of some smoothies at dark with the possibility of Bass and the usual culprits down that way. If I remember correctly St Margrests has a few venues withing walking distance.

Re: Ferrybank, Wexford?
Thanks for the tips. Not sure what I'm going to do now to be honest. Thinking of just heading to Wicklow Pier for the day instead!
