anyone got any info on a good pollack lure was told eddy stone eel was best , would be fishing off rocky / cliff area

Eddystones are good...so are delta eels, redgills, jellyworms, storm sandeels, and shads :D .

Storm sandeel, plain black feather, jelly shads for the big ones ;) especially from deep rock marks...

Oh...and one I've seen used to deadly effect....a sliver of orange oilskin :D .

from the shor there's only one winner for me, storm sandeel and a 17 gram leadhead...

A lure called Azure which I got in rorys used it few times, caught Pollock on it at Dalkey and Achill :D

a 9" black and white jelly eel only 2 single hooks so it doesn't get snagged a diamond bait for rocks weedy ground and of a boat

ive done well on a black jelly worm with a red tail and a drilled bullet lead on up the line. just keep a steady retieve and if you feel a pluck don't strike, just keep retrieving and they usually hit a second time and get hooked.

lead head with a ragworm threaded on it works very well, had a few pollock to 4lb on it last night from a dublin rock mark :mrgreen: german sprats, dexters wedges and flying c's are all favourites of mine

Am i doing somrthing wrong i have tried a lot with all sort of soft jelly baits and have never cauhgt a thing not even bites :( i use any lure for pollack that is either plain silver or silver/blue works good.

how are you setting them up mate? i usually use about 3 foot of clear 15 line set up as a running ledger, lead depending on the rod, twitch the rig on the retrieve keeping it just above the weed line.

Don't laugh as im being serious ,last year i got my hands on a few bass assasins[lead head type lure,with colured foil],they worked brillantly,saying that any red gills[smaller sizes]always did the job,and a friend of mine uses the maria chase red head bass lure to great affect once the sun starts to set and the pollack rise from their weedy layers.

Ya eric about the same a good 3 or 4 ft of line then a swivel bead and a running lead never even had a bite :( :twisted:

Condor bar has accounted for most of my pollock. Took 12-15 on one last weekend :)
