Have you managed to catch anything else since your first fish last weekend?
The weather seems to be affecting the fishing which is a real pain.
Are you going out again to give it ago at the weekend or are you going to give it a break.
You don't seem like the type of person to give up that easy.
Maybe I will join you some night and give it a go, you never know, I might bring you some luck! (Not that I am saying you need it)

No Davy hasnt caught anything else
It seems that since he wrote an article for Irish Angler telling people how and where to catch mullet he cant seem to do it himself
Felt sorry for him last night. He was near in tears cause the wind picked up and ruined the mark. And on his birthday too
He really doesnt like the fact that I AM IN THE LEAD

Aww now Colin, don't be winding Davy up just because your in the lead. Those sort of remarks tend to come back and bite you in the backside, although when you have caught more fish than a mate it is a good laugh to wind them up about it. :D
I take it Davy takes his fishing really seriously then and is quite competitive?

Who said he was my mate????

It was Davy who made a remark about catching more sea trout and mullet than me this year and he is failing miserably at both

Hi Davy,

Well, did you go fishing for the mullet on Saturday then?
I had some ragworm I needed to use up and so ended up in Portrush and Ballintoy harbour where i had a couple of small wrasse from the rocks.
I thought the mullet might have been in but there was no sign of them.
Last year there where a few good fish showing up there so maybe later on in the summer they will be back.
I don't know when I am going to go out again, I will maybe try for the mackerel soon to get my freezer stocks up as they are low after the winter fishing i done.
Keep in touch and let us know what you catch. 8)

yes and no :? had a bit of a hangover so i missed the morning tide and ended up looking for somewhere that was sheltered from the wind.found 1 spot i`d looked at a few times last year and it had some nice mullet but i couldn`t get them feeding.hopefully have more luck this weekend.
