puffin, courtown, 23/5

People:me my da, darren, frank , freddy ,mark

Duration:9 til 4

Tide:full at 10 i think

Weather:real mixed bag

Bait:herring, mack, squid

Rigs:1 hook steel traces,

Results:dogs, tope, thornback ray

Report:been waitin for this day for ages was prayin for decent weather and got a mixed day bit of everything, very rough headin out was feelin ill anyway from somethin i ate the night before, big swell didnt help and was soon chuckin up the contents of my stomach and my phone from my top pocket doh :!: :oops: fishin was slow tried various marks with only a few dogs to show, went to a good mark for tope we hoped , i was of the mark first with a 6lb tope my first :D followed by two thornies for frank and freddy 6 lbs and 3.5 lbs more dogs followed and a beaut of a thornie at 17lbs for darren followed up with a 16lb tope and a 7lb tope jammy git 8) all enjoyed the day and could get to like boat fishin when its calm :D left my camera at a communion party today will add some pics later durin the week, :mrgreen:

great fishing well done,the 17lbs thornie must have been hard to pull in

north of courtown about a mile or so, the thornie was hooked in the lip but managed to wrap her tail around the line i thought he snagged the anchor :shock: hell of a job reelin her in

Nice fishing.

I think the second picture is a Starry smooth-hound and not a Tope. Nice fish though.

that was the last two hours, was sixfoot waves for four hours before that,mr green i was :lol: :lol:
