Rathmullan Tope & White fish festival

I think this was won by Dano Gallagher, I was on the same boat as him both days. He won day one by about 15 / 20 pts with a score of around 140 pts. He scored 144 on day two which won our boat with unconfirmed reports that no one on the other boat beat him on day 2.
I dont think there was a tope caught at all in the tope comp.
If anyone has the official results maybe they could post them up?

In general the fishing was scratchy, with only pout showing in decent numbers and all fish being fairly small. species wise it was the usual suspeects, pollack, coalie, pout, ling, wrasse, red, grey and tub gurnard, but not great numbers of any, and LSD. There was one rariety in a megrim landed on our boat, the swilly explorer.
It was a well run event with excellent vessels and skippers to match.

I fished the Tope , 1st day nothing . 1st drop I had a great run ( stupid me missed it )
rest of the day nothing in my boat or any of the Tope boats , some thornies and dogs.

Day 2 more of the same a few ray and a suntanned bald head.

Don't know anything about the White Fish .

Ha ha I know all about it, I got a roasting on Friday, so i spent the two days splapping on the factor 30 and trying to keep my head and back of me neck covered!

If its any consolation, I took my boat on the Swilly on the saturday and anchored up with Tanglerat just ahead of the pair of charters that were in the Inch area. We didnt get a run either although we did manage a handy few thornbacks. Moved later on and that produced 0 tope too but a couple more thornbacks a fair few doggies, dabs and a couple of little grey gurnard.
