Portmarnock 29-5-09

#1 Post by nicefish »

People: 3 Me Mark Simon

Duration: 9:30pm-12

Tide: low

Weather: foggy then clear warm night :D

Bait: Rag

Rigs: Flattie rigs

Results:Marky 1 Flounder on his now famous Lidl rod :D ME 1 Flounder Simon Blank

We went to Portmarnock last night with no high expectations as the two tackle shops we were in laughed at us when we told them we were going here   I got the tides wrong as I thought we were going at high tide it was low  We were there for about an hour when I got a Flounder not big about 25cm still not a blank :D A short time later Mark got a flounder about 30cm : :D he now loves that Lidl rod of his no blanks yet :? Simon had a lovely fish on don't think it was a flounder there was a big bend on the the rod, just as it was coming out of the small surf it was gone  his drag was not set right he was gutted. We got nothing after that, great night out look forward to the next one and may be next time the Lidl rod will blank
