Footware for Wet Rocks

#1 Post by RickyDayglo »

I'm interested in what footware people would recommend for hopping round wet rocks?
In the latest Sea Angler Mag there's a picture of someone fishing for mullet in crocs :!:
What's that about??

Any of the trainers or hiking boots I've tried are a bit treacherous when it rains.
Would soft rubber or felt soled wading boots be any better?

Cheers, Ricky

I have two pairs of Korkers, the Streamborn xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and the Torrent (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) About €100 euro each on the doorstep. They have an interchangeable sole system which has worked very well for me so far. Use the rubber soles to get to the mark, then change to felt or studded felt. I would not go out without one of these now. They not only give you added safety, they allow you to concentrate more on the fishing without worrying about breaking your neck!

MOD Edit: I removed the links here as they drove my Antivirus mad...trojans etc.

Thanks inigo,
Those interchangeable soles look like a great idea.
