beach fishing north wicklow tuesday 26/5

#1 Post by Krusty »

People/ Me and My father

Duration/ 3Hour

Tide/ low on the way back in

weather/ sunny overcast

Bait/ Muscles, Squid, Mackrel, Sand Eel, Razor.

Just stop on a local beach on the way home from work today as i arrived theree was another three anglers just heading down to the beach when i arrived. After an hour i had no joy but the lads beside us pulled a fairly decent sized lsd. The Dog kept coming for them me and my father having no luck. Then just as darkness fell i sent in another cast and almost instantly felt a pull began to reel in the rig i had baited up with 1 hook sand eel the other muscles.
Thinking i had a dog it came as a bit of a surprise to find a mackrel had taken the sand eel. First time i have ever taken a Mackrel off that beach.
