First report so here it goes!

People: Me, Al and Chris

Duration: 8pm - 11pm

High Tide - 9:20pm

Weather - calm and dry

Bait - Lug Sandeel and Rag

Rigs - 2 & 3 hook flappers

Results - Me LSD (1) Flounder (1) Al LSD (1) Chris Pollack (1)


After the last few nights practising tying up some rigs lastnight looked like a good time to get out and try them out. We headed to Killiney directly infront of the carpark. On arrival the lads abit up from us were pulling in a couple of fish so it looked fairly promising at this stage.
It was quiet enough for the first hour until i felt a little pull and reeled in to find a small flounder on the hook which fell to the lugworm.
After that Chris landed a small Pollack also to lug.
A guy fishing beside us was packing up and gave us afew rag and said wait till it gets abit darker and the dogs will be out so we held on abit longer and we got two decent dogs in the space of 3-4 mins one to rag and on to a cocktail of lug and sandeel. Packed up afew minutes later as we had only got a small torch which wasnt doing much for us.
Was happy to catch something abit bigger than whiting for a change and also testing my knots on the doggies!

Looking forward to getting back out just need to pick up a good light.
