No Ray!
Report:
Caught some fresh mackerel at Dunlickey hoping for a ray at Poulnasherry.
Some brownish water in the bay maybe this kept the ray out?
Did not deter the dogs though.

Heard only dogs were being caught in numbers from poulna before the rain. Funny some years places only fish for ray the next loads of dogs. Could be the dogs are getting to the bait first.

Re: Poulnasherry Bay, West Clare 18th. May 2009
Ive been fishing the bay for the last seven weeks and only landed one ray.Last week there were so many dogs I could only use one rod, then two hours from high even the dogs disappeared
A boat with a few lads cruised down and anchored in front of me and started spinning for the numerous small bass. So if you are reading this thanks lads!
On a brighter note Happyguy 73 had a nice thornie of 9lb 6oz further round on the Shannon when we were out Sunday.

The Truth is often stumbled upon by men, most of whom pick themselves up and hurry along as if nothing ever happened.
