#1 Post by steveoel »

Hey Lads

So here's the story,
Im dying to catch a Thornback Ray, or any Ray for that matter.
Have heard so many stories of great fights put up by them and so on.....
Im in Kerry so where do i fish?
What Bait do i use?
What Rig?
What Tide is best??

I know loads of questions but this is my big mission for this year so need to get it as right as i can,

Regarding your questions, I suggest a book a saw in easons for 20 euro, its a new irish sea angling book.

''sea angling in ireland'' by john rafferty he has a bait collum inside IRISH ANGLING magazine for may.

this may help? failing that the central fisheries website has info too.

I have only ever caught them off a boat using fish baits.

I did not buy the book myself due to recession cut backs!! I find most info on google searches for free..
