Shannon Estuary 13/5/08

Duration:1:15-4:00

Tide:lw @ 3:15

Weather:windy, humid with light rain and strong easterly

Bait:macko

Rigs:some futerisitc clip down running ledger

Results:4 ray to 9lbs, a dog and a strap




Report:havent been out in 5 weeks with bloody finals in college and when i saw the weather i nearly didnt go at all...glad i did though...fishing some seriously rough ground but had a 535 to deal with it...christened it with a 9lb ray which was nice :D :D easy fishing with a 50yard cast doing the business..

Nice fishing Gearoid man,

9lb Ray you jammy git… I knew I should have contacted you sooner but I was thinking that all this rain going down the estuary would put the rays off,

Is this the case… with the rain does it put them off or no. :?:

Another thing that put me off going down there is I been told that while the crab are peeling the ray will feed only on them and you may as well stay at home scratching your rocks… but you again seemed to prove them wrong.

that crab thing is b*llocks anyway so forget that..

fresh water only affects the upper marks and has to be a fair amount of it..as im always preaching moon phase is what you should go by...
