Ballycastle pier or rocks beside beach

#1 Post by Guest »

Me

Any body know what the fishing is like here and what bait is best. I'm going down for a few days and thought I'd try it out. Any help or advice would be great. :?: Thanks and remember - "It takes a big man to admit the fish he caught was small, but it takes an even bigger man to admit he never caught nothing at all"

Cheers
Chris

Any time i fished it say from beach i used rag tiped with mac or squid. Most kind of flatties but had a few good pollock too.

On the rocks i used float fished rag and squid to stop them sucking worm off hook got wrasse and spun silver stuff to see what about then spun sandeel for pollock.

Hard beach to fish from but.

Try white rocks at ballintoy cast beach rod out with rag and drop one of rocks below feet for wrasse. also can pick up pollock and stuff spun sandeel or flashy stuff again
