People: Myself
Duration: Monday 11:00am - 2:30pm and Tuesday 10:30am - 2:00pm
Tide: rising
Weather: Generally good if a tad on the windy side
Bait: crab
Rigs: Single hook clipped
Results: F**k all!
Report: Headed to laytown to try and winkle out the first bass of the season, perfect surf running but to no avail. Serious lack of fish on the north east coast at the minute. I've been trying lures and bait for the last 6 weeks and nothing what so ever. I'd usually have a couple of bass around the middle of April but nothing yet this year!

Re: Laytown
Sorry to hear that, i was thinking of doing the same but held off Im going to try a low water rock mark tonight with few crab. the e'ly wind is due to decrease during the day.. looking at the water yesterday looks perfect for bass lots of food being wahed about excellent surf etc... but sometimes when everything looks good nothing is caught!!

Re: Laytown
we stay up in bettystown in the summer keith and we've got to know a few local anglers. they all reckon the beach up at the golf course in bettystown is the spot that produces the most fish
might be worth a shot the next time you're out mate.
