Melmore head/downings area
just wondering lads has anybody fished this area and if there is much happening, was down a couple of saturdays ago and caught nothing. im new to this whole business of tides and stuff but i see hide tide is this evenig at8 so was thinking i might pop down for a while. any advice would be much appreciated coz im a complete novice at shore fishing, was brought up on rivers with a jar of worms a few weights and a couple of hooks!!!!

hi i tried the small beach near the caravan park before there at melmore and blanked - during daylight - last october

cheers corby, headed out around half6 and it was slow to start but thenfrom around half 8 til half9 we pulled out 11 fish. rangin from small to nearly medium. all pollock. so went home happy.
