Met up at Ballyholme beach for a club comp, i'd never fished this part of the world so did'nt know want to expect, after talking to a few of the lads i was'nt sure if there'd be many caught as the talk was that it was'nt fishing well.
. The fishing was slow, few flounder and a doggie or two landed. About 10pm i had a good knock and ended with a nice flounder at 23cm, ( my first counter in a club comp 
). That was my only fish landed although i was getting bite's and stripped hooks...Not sure what was landed by the rest of the lads but dont think anyone will be in a hurry to make the trip again.
