north antrim rock mark.........

#1 Post by Bass Buster »

people- me and the better half.

date-3rd may 09.

weather-sunny,rain and blustery at times.

bait-rag,sandeel.

time-10am till 5pm.

rigs-float and spinning.

result-6mackeral,2pollack,1 ballen wrasse.

report----

Got to the mark just before 10am and got set up and in the water shortly after..The first few hours were slow with the odd bit here and there.but things where startin to turn wen i managed a nice ballen wrasse :D :D on the float so baited up and sent it straight back out.while the float was out i decided to try a bit of spinning this turned out to be far more effective than the float as within an hour i managed 6 mackeral, but it was time to concentrate back on the float, so brought it in and rebaited( whilst the misses was cooking a bbq :D :D )then after the float being out for roughly 15 mins bang it disappeared so brought it in to find a nice size pollack around the 39cm mark :D .by this time the rain had started and so i decided it was last cast time ,i started gettn bites almost straight away, so i let it sit for a while longer(while we tidyed the rubbish from the bbq up) and the float disappeared again it was another nice pollack not as big as the first one only measurin 28cm roughly, but all in all it was a nice day out and good to have the misses with me and she even asked next time i go to take her again and bring a rod for her..

I'm with you on that one Paul, no harm but I enjoy the time away from my girl when fishing. I think its healthy to have your own hobby.
