b]People[/b]:me and stephen

Duration:2 hours

Tide:on the drop

Weather:sunny with slight breeze

Bait:lug

Rigs:2 x 2 1/0 flappers

Results: 1 osytercatcher

Report:went to beach last night but had a nightmare with weed, got 1 doggie and 1 good tug aswell but only lasted an hour , lost 3 leads to the weed, so headed off in around lunchtime to a small pier near helvick in the hope of something . got about 2 bites during the session but missed whatever was nibbling, got a massive tug just before we left and it turned out an osytercatcher got tangled in my line, reeled in and untangled it, bird was very well behaved as the line had looped around its wing and tightend, off it flew no bother :D and a new species for me

I still have to see what he does not eat  , however, if you are into experimental foods maybe :P , depends on the poison you wash the "no reservations roast" down with  , gordons dry gin maybe, he's not really known to be a pioneer either, can't blame him, , anyway, good luck for next time, you may catch lots of fish for the rest of your life as well earned reward for your C&R as you have plenty of good karma points collected now :D, tight lines :!: :P :D

id say the choice of poison would kill the flavour of any unusual meat   , think the karma could be fecked.......a bunny decided to have a game of chicken with my car this morning and the car won , there goes tonites 12lb bass to be replaced by a whiting

yeah I'd say they'd peck the eyes out of head, I could feel the oystercatchers heart racing, it was petrified, years ago I lost a brand new rod and reel to a crazed duck at rathfarnham falls in Dublin, I wouldve definatly ate that bugger
