Clifden, 25-26/04/09

PPl:Meself and the Lady

Time: 25- 20:00-21:30
26 - 10:00-13:00

Tide: low, on way out both times..

weather: wet on 25, blowing a gale and extra wet on the 26th..

Bait: Mack/ Squid

Result: Blank :cry:

report:
So my lady had planned an outdoors weekend for me as a belated birthday gift which started friday with pike fishing on Corrib, followed by falconry on the saturday...
Then we headed for Clifden, hopefully chasing Ray, but nature had other plans for us.. The saturday we got setup, but darkness approached too quickly, and with the rocks being wet, did;t want to keep me lady out on the trecherous headland in the dark.. But the short time out, I had some great rattlin bites, just as dusk approached, but failed to connect..
So onto sunday morning..
After a night of restless sleep due to a touring group of morons(young rugby team), hoofing bottles out windows and acting the generel maggot in the hotel rooms either side, we set off fot take two...
:shock: the rain was coming down harder today.. and by down I mean sideways.... but I had gone that far, so off we set.. Buddy up behind a rock, wet gear on, we persevered..but to no avail.. nothing biting.. ah well...
next time.... lovely spot anyhow...

Unlucky on the blank Clifden seems to be very slow in getting going this year better luck next time :)

hard luck on the blank,the bay is not producing much yet
i fished the bay on sat i left just before you at 1900 only got 2 small crabs
which part of the bay did you fish :?:

Hope you get better weather next time, pity no fish but sounds like you enjoyed it anyway.
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

yeah, she's a great woman, puts up with me fishing!
I didn;t mind about the fish, it's just great to get out to these spots sometimes...I'll return soon i'm sure, once I sort out my work schedule for the next few months, figure out the windows of opportunitiess... =o)
