waterford lately

#1 Post by seanie35 »

People:me

Duration:8 till 12

Tide:dropping

Weather:blustery with drizzle now and again

Bait:frozen crab

Rigs:2 x 4/0 diddly

Results:6 doggies/2 bass

Report:conditions almost ideal. if tumbleweed starts blowing around the backyard at home you can be sure there will be a surf at the beach but it wasnt that rough just choppy. fished one rod about 60 yards out. head got a bit melted for the first hour as 2 people on horses decided to bath their animals sporadicaly close to where i was fishing about 30 yards either side of me a few times( mental note to oneself bring airhorn next time  ) despite 2 miles of beach but i suppose we gotta share. wonder how fast a horse would go if hit witha griplead , anyways dusk hit in got first doggie of the nite a lively fella , followed by a bass 3.5 lb , strange action directly after the bass and its happend before lots of frenetic little tugs and jerks basslike but like unable to swallow the bait. fished on and got 3 doggies on succesive casts then missed a huge bite. next cast a doggie /bass double. good session lots of activity wouldve stayed to fish the incoming tide but ran out of bait, as i was leaving the surf was as perfect as ive ever seen it nice sets of tables coming in uniform
