do shad not have a prominent row of lateral scales towards the rear of the body?
i caught one just like yours last year in greystones and figured, herring? Image

just googled twaite shad with interesting results!
only fishing more than 30 years fishing... and still
learning new stuff every day! :) :) :)

How do you fish a rock pool exactly? How small are your hooks?
2010 - Whiting, Dogfish, 3 bearded Rockling, Shore Rockling, Pollock, Dab, Plaice, Launce, Sea Scorpion, Goby, Gunnel, Codling, Red Cod, Smooth Hound, Ballan Wrasse, Corkwing Wrasse
