Waterfoot Beach 13-4-09

#1 Post by mirwin »

Time 1900-0200

Tide-Low to High

Weather-Light Rain at times

Rigs-1 and 2 Hook Flappers

Result-14 Flounder and 1 Coalie

Arrived at Waterfoot Beach at 1900 and fished low to high tide as tide was high at 0140 and around 40mins into fishing low tide the bites were starting and then a few good knocks on my rod and i struck and reeled in a small flounder, and soon came another and the rest followed. Most fish were caught when tide was incoming and Coalie was caught just before high tide on the rag's and a few Flounder were caught on Razor fish and Frozen rag as well.

Thats a nice haul of flounder!!

Your Coalie looks a bit like a Whiting altough Im not sure. The bottom jaw seems to stop short a coalies normally meets the top jaw.

I think it was defo a coalie had the lateral line going along the side which coalies normally have.
