Duration: 18:00 to 22:00

Tide: Low

Weather: Clear sky = Cold!

Bait: Rag & Squid

Rigs: 2 hook flappers

Results: Daniel - 1 Ballan Wrasse, 1 Red Cod & 2 Sea SCorpions
Me - 2 pollack & 1 Ballan Wrasse




Report: First trip of the season.

Heading to Waterfoot tomorrow for the first time.
Species List 2012 (Me) - Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Plaice, Codling, pollack, dab, SS Scorpion Fish, Ballan Wrasse, Codling.

Species List 2012 (Daniel) - Not got started yet :-(

Its fair to say that they're a bit on the small side.

Its a good sign though.

We went up to Waterfoot Beach today. Daniel blanked and I got a tiny flounder. We moved to the pier for an hour later. One guy had a nicer plaice and a 2lb seatrout of ledgered sandeel.

waterfoot beach usually fishes better when the light starts to drop, had a good session there on friday myself but nothing was caught till the light droped. well done with the wrasse :D
some times catching crabs is a good thing.........or is it...........?

09 so far--codling coalies plaice flounder turbot 3&5 bearded rockling doggies whitting shanny and a [color=#FF0000]5lb [/color]huss thornback ray squid starfish mackeral pollack corkwing wrasse ballan wrasse [color=#FF0000]5lb 6oz [/color]conger

It was very bright when we were on the beach. TBH I didn't expect to catch much but I kept that quiet so as not to let the wee man down!

We'll enough rag left for another session. I'm thinking either D'dee tomorrow night or Bangor for amini species hunt.
