Duration:8 hours 2-10pm saturday 9/7/05

Tide:high water11.45am approx

Weather:very calm withsun all day

Bait: peeler crab mackeral and scad.

Rigs:feathers and flowing single hook traces and flowing wishbone

Results:9 species of fish lannded tope to 18lb smoothounds to 6.5 ray to 13.5 lb tub gurnard mackeral dab scad lsd,s and to top it off 2 large spider crab

Report: a great days fishing for all . john hughes used a flowing wishbone 7 ft long out fished other single hook rigs better scent trail.

I have heard a rumour that there is now a fine of E1200 for launching powered watercraft from Cahore.. Can you confirm this?

I HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT ANY FINES .I WONDER WHO WOULD INFOFCE IT. I WOULD IMAGINE IT IS ONLY SCARE MONGERING SOMEONE TRYING TO KEEP THE PLACE TO THEM SELVS .YOU COULD ALWAYS RING THE CAHORE ANGLING CLUB SEC. A DOYLE 05527601 OR YOU COULD RING WEXFORD CO.CO.

It seems that the ban is for jet skis using the slip and water skiers within 200yds. There were complaints to the council regarding parking at the last big competition.. Thanks for your help
