Mackeral Tramore

Lots of mackeral being caught at newtown cove. Fished beside one angler who caught about a hundred ( no exageration ) over four hours on feathers. Tides dont seem to make a difference

did he salt and stored them to see him through the harsh winter ahead. 100 mackerel = about 90 lbs of fish for god's sake

he filleted all of them there so i dont know but id say he was going to sell them or else he was real hungry!

could be feeding mackerel to his dogs, I recently discovered they like mackerel, even frozen

Pigs go mad for them too . Eat them whole tho' .
I guess the place would be pretty smelly the next day with all those guts & blood . :( :( Or the conger would be really well ground-baited ! :wink:
