Re: Budget rod for fix spool reel
Hi Ric you need 50+ posts to get in there, heres what it said,
fixed spool, cw is 4 to 8oz,13 foot long, immaculate condition, have it nearly 1 years and only used it about 5 times, mislaid rod bag
here's some info on the Supercast rods from Daiwa site
http://www.daiwasports.co.uk/products/s ... beach-rods
Hope this helps.

Re: Budget rod for fix spool reel
hey rick. i got the nexave rod a while back from spottydog and happy enough with it so far. its got good bite detection and i find it easy enough to cast with.
i paid £49 for it but P&P was another £20. i ended up getting another one for a friend and a mustad 4 season suit with it also and the P&P was still £20 so if you decide to buy from them it might be worth your while seeing if any friends need anything and split the postage between ye. last time i looked it had gone back upto £99 tho. ive used a few other rods around the 100-150euro range and i probably prefer my nexave to them. i had a few casts off the penn surfblaster a few weeks ago and i liked that too. dan in the halfway has them, i think their about 130euro tho
heres a good write up on the shimano

if you decide you might go for one and want to have a few casts off it first send me a pm and i can meet you at a beach or field somewhere. just cos i like it doesnt mean you will.
