going out of howth

hi all just a quick question thinking of launching the boat in the morning

would i be wasting my time is there anything out there at the moment

another thing is the wind its going to be force 4 NW :lol:

wind is W F3 , veering NNW by lunchtime F4. Fished outta Howth 2 weeks ago on the Bennet bank, not much happening then man,but you never know what it'd be like tomorrow. Headin' out tomorrow myself. Prob Skerries though. HW bout 07.50. me thinks.

went out around 8.00 weather wasn't bad some fog all i caught wos whitening


Any bode out there could put me on the right track for fishing out of howth maybe some GPS marks in the area knot locking for all your secrets just a few pointers in the right place to get me going

the boat i have is a orkney strike liner with a 30hp plus a 4hp back up only have her 18 months now just getting the hang of her haven't taking her far yet don't know how far she would go maybe with the right weather :mrgreen: any info i would be appreciated thanks

thinkin of buying a boat probably not for a year or so
have a good bit of experience in boats and was thinkin of something that can fish shallow water and be able to travel 30 miles or so along the east coast
have the use of a dingy but would the inflatable sides cause the obvious hazards treble hooks etc

hi ken what kind of boats are you locking for

i wooden chance a rubber Dinny herd too many stories about them went out fishing on one about 12 years ago down on achill island u could only fish for about 10 to 15 minutes then you have to move to empty her out
there was a valve on the back that opened when moving Wat a scary day :lol:
she was a x life boat out of Scotland should have been __ sunk years ago patches everywhere

any info on dublin bay HOWTH :?: :?: thanks

im just lookin for something that will fish 3 or maybe 4 people something that i can row in shallow water that will take an outboard to get around howth head if need be
havnt a clue of types and names of boats but something light enough to launch and doesnt take all day to travel 10 miles or so 25-30 hp engine?

it going to take a long time and a lot of looking once you find one there's no END to it its only the first chapter :lol: :lol:

thanks finding the right boat and finding the money....
and ill think twice about the dingy and the engine is not the best on it
