Ardmore in april

Me and two friends are heading to Kinsalebeg Ardmore 24-27 April. would it be too early in the year for spinning,plugs, any idea what bait would be best for that area, any information much appreciated.

is that the kinsalebeg near clashmore or is it another one closer to ardmore :shock:

Bass should be well in at that stage. April can be a very good month. It was from Whiting Bay that the record bass was caught in April 1973 and that record stood for over 30 years. Sandeel was the bait used. However, by far the best bait in this area is lugworm. Cortaz uses razor successfully. I would suggest that you contact him for some advice also.

Nicefish,

you will catch bass on the Ardmore beaches every month of the year. Simple as that. Theres a few good pluggin spots in the area also.
