weird creature

hey
was down checking my lobster pots this morning in dun laoghaire
and caught two weird lobster like things
they look like small lobsters with very bright blue strips on there back and blue eyes. there claws are long spiky like spider crabs
any one any ideas
i have pictures loaded on the pc but dont know how to put them up on this site. if anyone wants to email me ill email them the pictures

They sound like they might be a kind Squat Lobster, I think they might be called Spiny Squat Lobster.

im wondering can i eat the little buggers cos i know where theres shet load of them! i put them back and keeped the real ones

They are squatt lobsters and they are fantastic to eat. As good as dublin bay prawns. They tails are the edible parts. There is a fishery for them in the Faroes, where they have lots of them.

Toenyo if yours are the pots on Colliemore can I have my 126 weights, 78 feathers, 39 spinners, 900 yards of mono and 103 rigs back please. ;)

Or tell us where you sell your lobster I wouldn't mind trying a few of them fellahs.
