Weather:cold nort- west wind

Bait:squid,mack,razor

Rigs:one up one down .one hook patternoster

Results:whiting,polock,rockling codling

hi all
good nights fishing had by us all ,we had whiting from the start casting 30mts from the pier mack and squid baits were getting hit most casts .all fish at this distance were whiting.we had small 5foot rods made from old cut down flyrods for fishing down the edge of the pier.must say had some of best fun in years catching fish on these,even the smallest of fish put up a good fight,we had about ten rockling one codling and a pollock all on the small rods ,the bites slowed off as the run of the tied slowed. we had about 12 whiting on the big rods good fish to 11 inches.

Fair dues to ye. I presume ye mean "Bulloch" harbour? I've caught many a big mullet from that pier in the summer, though you need to do it very early to avoid the pleasure boaters, etc.

Up the back - off the rocks - caught loads of codling, pollock, wrasse, and mackerel on spinners. It's a tackle graveyard though and you ned to be careful on them rocks.
