loch gorman strand
People:dbrock and i
Duration:half 2 to 5 o'clock
Tide:rising
Weather:an aimsir go maith!!
Bait:lug and mack
Rigs:flappers with long snoods, bout three foot
Results:dennis 12 flounder to 31cm
me 9 flounder to 31cm and one bass 38cm
Report:what can i say, was a very enjoyable session, plenty of flats knocking about and 1 surprise bass!. dennis started off using the longer flappers and was hitting fish fish from the beginning. they didn't seem to show any liking to my shorter snoodsso after three blank casts i put on one of my long flapper and was rewarded with a double including a nice plump fish of 31cm. dennis soon picked up one decent fish of his own and a fine treble counter on the next cast. not to be grossly outdone i followed suit with a fine little schoolie of 38cm, which put up a nice little scrap in the surf, when it swirled under the surface we where under the impression it was the mother of all flounder. all the same it was nice to be out again, after the evil snow. off to attack the front garden now with some salt, a shovel and a hose, im sick of snow!!!
