killiney beach 4/2/09

People:me and eric

Duration:7 till 10

Tide:high at 6.30
Weather:nice but cold

Bait:frozen

Rigs:ones with big hooks :mrgreen:

Results:whiting rockling and longspined sea scorpion all on 3/0 and 4/0 hooks :shock:




Report:got a call from eric who was bored :roll: so we headed local (i think eric was hoping to meet toffesmum :D )the first 20 feet of water had a mass of weed and kelp ,i pulled half of it up onto the beach first cast :x no cod turned up but hey we did try :mrgreen: below is a pic of what eric thought was a coalie washed up at my feet ,eric says his mum can make anythg taste good in a curry so i neednt tell you where it went :shock: our search for the elusive cod continues................

well done, great idea using wire fencing as a net, is that the camera playing tricks or is the sea scorpion oozing blue acid :shock:

Weird colours alright! I've had them that colour fishing in Greystones too...I think it's something to do with Sellafield

you need a wire net for those fish, the teeth on them :shock:

yes whats their new motto for the campaign again... as long as it's good for you you can eat as much as you like(aka kill and eat everything).

Eric if you just make the curry with sea scorpions in it the spines clean your teeth as you eat... i think that was a slogan on a glass of pickled sea scorpions i saw... or maybe i dreamed it :?
