hi lads im heading out tonight to the west pie with a few pal we are goin conger fishing can any tell me what gera weather a boat rod or roap is bes etc....

boat rod with 40lb. line would be useful. fish run big here. fish a rod down into the holes in the rocks on a rising tide- there's a big fella at the front of the lighthouse. slightly left of seaward. 6/0 hooks and heavy mono trace a good idea. a long 80lb. rubbing leader might be a good idea here as for extra pulling power and it will help prevent abrasion. tie your line direactly to the trace swivel. loop some telephone wire around the mainline and then around the weight of chioce. u know how a slider rig that will allow you to pull out the lead should(/when!) it gets snagged.

yep it was our 1st proper drop as the blood seal wouldnt go away :evil: :evil: i hate that seal :twisted: :twisted:
