Bait:Razor, Lug, King Rag

Rigs:2 Hk Pat, & Running leger

Results:Cod (30cm), Flounder (45cm)

Report: Went out with Danny (aka ROADRUNNER) & Sandra on Monday night. We missed the critical moonphase as we had to go back to base as Danny had left gear behind :x . As far as Danny was concerned it didn't matter as he thinks the whole moon thing is rubbish anyway, but he definitely put the Kiebosh on things when he said '...I'll bet you that you & me will get nothing and Sandy will get all the fish.' That's exactly how things turned out. Sandra on her first shore outing in two years ends up with the only two fish, albeit small. For me it was blank number four on the trot. I'd have to go back at least ten years since I last blanked so many times and that was while I was plugging, which can be hit & miss when trying new spots anyway.
Went out again last night to see if I could break my duck and was rewarded :D . Two fish caught just after the moonset and my first cod of the winter and a stonker of a flounder. See, Danny, the moon does count!

Well done on breaking the blank. That's a fine flounder alright.
I was going to head out myself last night but got hit by a stomach bug. Stomach bug and waders are not a good combination

No, not a good combo at all Frank. Allways pays to have a roll spogged away in the box, just in case you're caught short  .

Yeah Shane, I was surprised myself. That fella weighed 2lb 2oz. Had another 45cm flounder before Christmas...he weighed 2lb 4oz. Just shows how long an actual specimen would be.

Moon Phases bloody Moon Phases that's all i here from you    your lucky your so very lucky as Sandra was going to go out as well 8) 8) 8) then my friend you would have been beating AGAIN by your we sister

You cant rely on moon phases alone if the wind ain't wright and the surf ain't wright then you wont catch any fish Moon Phases or not (trust me i have done a lot o research on this and got advice from the Bass KING and he really knows what he is talking about)

Alan, would you believe I caught him on a size 5/0 ultimate bass hook. It was a typical flounder bite...small rattles and plucks. I let it develop as I reckoned it was small fish and he hooked himself. :D I was using whole razor with lug at the time.

Hang on a second. I've seen bass caught this winter when there was an easterly breeze and almost a non-existant surf. Oh, and come to think of it you were there too! It was just before moon-rise wasn't it?

pat as i have said before the Moon Phases probable do have an effect on fishing but i think if you are in the right place at the right time then that is more important. if you have all the lunar conditions right and are fishing in the wrong place then you wont catch fish

Here is another idea what if the lunar phases doesn't effect the fish BUT makes the bait/food chain move around more :?: :?:   if there was more food for the fish to feed on wouldn't that mean that the fish would go on a feeding frenzy
