passage east,stella maris s.a.c m.a. n.o. 1

#1 Post by SKIP »

People:7 seniors 2 juniors

Duration:4pm till 9pm, 8pm in the end

Tide:last 2 of drop first 3 of rise

Weather:started of grand then mother nature let loose

Bait:lug,peeler,mussel,mackeral,sandeel

Rigs:3up flappers,2 up clipped down,pulley pennels

Results:whiting,dabs,cod,pouting and rockling

Report:
The strong sotherly wind had prevented us from fishing arthurstown so we decided to give passage east a go.Whilst we were lining up for the ferry we noticed a good few anglers already spread out along the beach but lucky enough we were able to sqeeze ourselves in,im sure the lads on the beach didnt know what was going on when we arrived as it was like a stampeed to get to our pegs.Fishing was constent for the first 2 hours with some good size dabs and whiting coming to most anglers with the odd small cod and rockling thrown in.In all it was a good session until mother nature let loose with all her furey.I've never seen so many brolleys and buddies taking off aswell as dabs being airborne whilst trying to bring them ashore  ,unfortunetly we had to pack up early due to all anglers being soaked through as the heavens opened up plus the last ferry was at 8pm  not a bad sesh considering
