glenarm beach 22/1/09

People:me and rainey

Duration:8ish-11ish

Tide:1hr before hw the rest drop

Weather:great

Bait:rag,squid

Rigs:1,2,3 hook flappers

Results:me-1 coalie,1codling....... rainey-1codling,4 rockling,1 flounder




Report:
arrived up after deciding where to try and bumped into ccpple a other guys they ad only 1 small flounder but conditions were great it was weedless for once weather was calm and dry!! headed on down the beach and got set up i was first into a coalie at 23 cm then rainie into a codling around the same size!! he then set up his quivertip and fished it also but had a problim wit is reel and his line landed bout 10 yards as he was fixing it he got yit by a nice wee fat rockling!! :lol: :lol: so he then fixed it and dicided to try really close and wham again :lol: :lol: his big rod bounced again with a nice wee flounder at 28 cm!! i then hit a wee codling bout 23cm and he ad another few rockling (rediciously close the phrase he used i think :P ) then packed up al in all a great wee nites fishing with good wee species mix :lol: :lol:

well done berty not a bad nights fishing,would love to be getting out this week
but a touch of the dreaded man flu has kept me in doors. i'll give a buzz as i
should be out next week again
some times catching crabs is a good thing.........or is it...........?

09 so far--codling coalies plaice flounder turbot 3&5 bearded rockling doggies whitting shanny and a [color=#FF0000]5lb [/color]huss thornback ray squid starfish mackeral pollack corkwing wrasse ballan wrasse [color=#FF0000]5lb 6oz [/color]conger

glad yus had a few fish and a bit of fresh air ,i dont know how folks sit in watching trollop on the box all night every night ,fair play lads i recon most lads are in hibernation when it comes to fishing in jan and feb ,nothin like a midweek session to shorten the week :wink:

cheers lads it was great to get out!!!

hope ya getbetter minty mate theres nothing worse than that flu its lethal!!!headin out tommorrow maybe just work my way round the coast tryin out couple a different marks i aint fished yet so al let ya know how i get on mate get the whiskey inte yeeeeeee lol :lol: :lol:

between 23 and 26cm theyre all wee fat things and they were bout 5-10 feet of the shore feeding lovely wee fish in good condition wouldnt a minded a few a them last sunday at waterfoot lol :P :P :P
