You can buy them from ultramarine, which is where i first got them but then i started to make my own. Tubertini make good ones but the are aimed more at the boat angler and are too heavy for shore fishing really.

They also do those "windy leads" the ones like a golf ball with all the little grooves, but never tried them.

or alternatively: COD CATCHERS (underwater flashing light)

Flashing lights for use with jiggers and pirks can also be used with baited shore rigs for the likes of bass and cod.
The whole thing glows in the dark and the thinner part flashes red when in contact with water. Works to depths of 200ft 70m. Great for night fishing and murky/low light conditions.
Up to 200 hours battery life.

might try them myself 8)

Gents hows this for an idea? Get those Luminous muppets boat anglers use and thread them onto the main rig body above the lead link. Clip on the lead and just slide them down over the lead? If needs be secure with a wrap of elastic thread?

If I say so myself this is the greatest idea ever and may well lead to a tackle invention award of some sort!! :D
