Shimano Nexave BX Surf 130F

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Shimano Nexave BX Surf 130F

#1 Post by red »

saw these on spottydogtackle for half price at £48. it says the RRP is meant to be £120. i emailed them and they said they'd do P&P for £20. i was looking for a 2nd rod that was rung for fixed spool but didnt want to spend too much and this seems to be in the range of what i was looking for. they had a review in total sea magazine on it and and said it was good but i was told to take them reviews with a pinch of salt.

anyone have one of these rods or know what their like??

Hi Red,
don't know much about them but if you pm Thighlines,i think he is using the same rod at the moment. To be honest anything from the shimano stable should be good,at least thats been my experience anyway.

not a bad rod for 50 notes , very light to hold and plenty of back bone , used one of these in iceland last year and had no problem pulling spurdogs to 15lbs out of a very angry sea that day,its no century but for the money i dont think you can go for the money..
