Weather:Calm, Rain earlier, frosty. Ice-cold feet!

Bait:Crab and minging Lug!!

Rigs:3/0 & 4/0 Pennels

Results:Century Man: Small Flounder (lucky ), Turbot Charger: Blank (nothin new there ), Me: Blank (unusual )

Fished this 'bad' mark again. Wasn't pushed about goin meself after all the rain, but the lads were adamant about goin, to fish the rise this time. Not a fish to be seen, apart from a little flounder that took the top hook of Century man's pennel.
Very poor fishing, the fish just weren't playing ball... Maybe it was our lug that we had left over from the last session .
Didn't loose as much gear this time, think Century man only lost one, and I lost one set on the final retrieve.

We had an ATR 72-500 comin straight for us at one stage, I think the Pilot thought the lads headlight's were the runway!

I think we all have finally agreed that the mark is way over-rated and not worth the hasstle.

When we were packin up, we got spooked by a 'lurker' walkin along behind us, no light or nothin! Maybe he had night-vision goggles . Lads reckon he was a dogger...

Givin up on Cod.....Couldn't be arsed now to be honest..

I wouldn't say it is overated as such....It's very similar to my favourite bass mark really..(apart from water clarity bit).

Certain conditions etc needed.....wind direction,tide, water clarity,weed etc..

If ANY one of these vital "ingredients" are missing on this particular mark,,,,,,,things are against you.

Same can be said of that mark SM........Had been told by a few not to bother goin but hey....twas monday...and wanted to fish the rise there so hence that decision lol.


Century Man will be doin a hell of alot less fishin between this and the spring.

Tope and Stingers the target this year ....To HELL with scratching for whiting and rockling

Sur the turbot-charger and myself fished that mark Gilbey fished in Labasheeda 3 times and blanked (bar a flounder).

THATS A LONG WAY TO GO FOR A BLANK lol

He definitely caught those huss somewhere else and put them in a tank....that's TV i guess.

They had to shoot for 5 days in South wexford for him to catch 3 bass on the one mark
(then he made out on TV he done it in 20mins - good for touisim I suppose)

You wont catch them sitting at home C.M have to grin and bear them bad nights. Sure aint it better than sitting in Brownes drinking dirty pints playing darts and smoking 40 scuts.
