dublin fishing show

#1 Post by last cast lad »

Hi I believe the dublin fishing show is on 14/15 february, where about is it , is there a big enough range of tackle at it to justify a trip from donegal? and any other questions a novice like myself should ask!

It's on in Cloghran, out near Dublin Airport. If it's like other years there shoud be a good range of tackle there as well as demonstrations, talks etc. There's one up in Belfast in March I think, although thats probably nearly as far for you to travel :) more info below..

Pat and me went there last year and we got a few bargains........ some of the big English tackle shops were there and we got some good bargains...... with sterling and euro being nearly the same now it should be even better value this year.

It's on in Cloghran, out near Dublin Airport.

When I told my wife where the show was being held she laughed for what seemed like two days, I get the feeling that she expected it to be on in the RDS!, guess that means I'll get to wander round the show on my own, well just me and my friend Mr Visa!

Regards

Casting Demos will be there alright and will also be offering reel tuning etc to anyone who wants it.

Well worth spending 5 mins getting some tips if you wish!

Prob depends wot yer after. Been up to it a few times and always came across somethin. Last year I watched the Jardine guy fly casting - pure class and very entertainin. Worth the admission fee on his own as far as I was concerned. Just a pity hes not there this year again.

Need to buy a dry suit.

Does anyone know if I could get a good bargain on one at this event?
