lure rod

hi lads
going to try lure fishing this year
i bought a daiwa osprey lure special 10ft 15-60g 2 years ago
and never used it .
can you tell me is this rod suited for plugging for bass
or will i have to change it
if so what do you recomend :?:

I cant see why you couldn't use that rod seems fine for the job, have used daiwa rods for years spinning and plugging and hav a similiar rod at the moment myself works just fine, it seems light enough to spin with and i'd say it'll handle your plugs too.

I use a rod that is 10ft long and casdts 15-60gr and have no trouble at all :D

teacher i would not say no to a pm of a good mark down here in wexford to get started

I have the Daiwa Wilderness myself.

But I have cast the Osprey and it's a cracking rod.

Only problem, theres not enough time in the year to fish them all !!!

congratulations Pete your opening up a whole world of pain, but i must say its the most enjoyable way to fish in the summer time light gear and finding some great marks in the process...

are there any recommendations for lure rods (for bass plugging) for multiplier users? I was thinking of the Berkley 8' lightning. Anyone ever used one?

dont use size 4 hooks or less as u normally use and u will be ok :wink:
