I think it's probably the later of the 2 mate
The gloves and the hand warmers are definately the way to go this time of year I'd say.

no probs man. i only post a report for about 1 outta every 3 sessions anyway, otherwise i'd spend too much time in front of the computer and not enough time out fishing
saltydog wrote:Super stuff lads very envious indeed
the variety of fish to be caught at this mark is great. the only problem is that it makes it hard to draw yourself away to other marks that don't fish so well. but it's like everything in life, if you don't try i supose you'll never know

it's a bit mad, the seas and seasons all seem to be mixing togeather so that it appears there is no order, i noticed on christmas eve that all the tulips and daffodils in my garden were sprouting through the soil

no problem minty, i'll send you a pm during the week to let you know what we're gonna be up to at the weekend.

Only managed that tiny poor cod and the rockling, can't complain
I was getting good hits off the back as well but couldn't hook up, spend more time towing in rafts of seaweed

plenty of that sea weed out the back of the peir, but in summer on macky traces you get some of the better pollack and coalies, some codling and plenty of mackerel inside (2wards the north peir) there are loads of pouting, coalies and pollack and a good few rockling, some codling and wrasse in summer

unfortunatly all the decent fish are in the kelp beds mulling around

i'm still not sure what to make of getting a mack this early, if the water is mild enough for them to remain as a resident shoal i don't know what it will spell for the usual easter run of them

great session lads you put the hours in and deserve the results. as for the mack were still getting a few on the boat but as the water temp continues to drop they will disappear.
