Report: had the day off work and was gonna head to wexford or waterford with a mate but he cancelled so i decided to hit the old reliable spot greystones to start the new year. tide was very very low , and i had a couple of casts from a beach mark which usually produces for me but nothing came, after two hours i decided to pack up and move
and on the retrive i had a plump dab for these parts, my first fish of 2009 
. stuck to my decision and hit a rock mark. straight away i was into whiting so my move was justified. tide was very low at the rocks too , lower than ive ever seen it there and i noticed some features worth a shot in the summer perhaps. got a few doubles and another nice dab. i had a large bait out hoping for a bigger fish but with tide so low and whiting hitting everything i decided to head on, having got my first fish of 09.
