Hey lads,Started making my own floating plugs last night. Does anyone know where I can get the tiny propellor blades, I havn't seen them in any tackle shops and none on ebay.
Going to start painting some this week, what sort of bait fish should I be imitating?
Do Pollock ever go for top water lures, Im hoping to target bass too.
Any lure makers here? Making some up for pike too.

They are still up on his photobucket album, for some reason when the site was updated some of the linked images in older posts no longer appeared.

Re: Lure parts
I bought a 12ft length 22mm diameter dowal from homebase (€19.99) and 2 packs of brass small eyed screws €4 for 6! I just 100 for €2.50 on ebay. Had some trebles but ordered more today for nothing on ebay. Got all the schematics from the web and Im just copying some from pictures. Very simple, Just have an old sturdy knife for carving and a got a rotary tool from Argos for 40 quid. Taking my time I made two poppers and two jerk bait bodies last night. Easy, Got the paints today, prime, sand apint and I have a spray on laquer,Ill post em when theyre finished. Need to get few grades of sandpaper. Its a bit of fun making them and if they dont fish well they look cool and you made em yourself. Im always delighted when I catch a fish on my own tied rigs so I can only imagine catching something on my own lure! Homebase had metalic paint too and I got some glittery poster paints in the pound shop.

He had to go back home to Malaysia and then he got a job working on a cargo ship as an engineer, I think it was sailing from Singapore to the Med. Don't think he can get near a PC at the moment and even though he spends most of his days on the high seas he can't manage to throw a line.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!
