It should definitely pick up. The wind has swung around to a more westerly at the moment after the southwesterlies at the weekend and may swing to southerly over Wednesday/Thursday. There should be an improvement in fishing now that the easterlies are gone.
Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)

Should improve but as Rockhunter has shown, its important to look at mark selection if the sth westerlies are very strong as open beaches can get too rough (even for him  ) and uncomfortable. It is often said that cod fishing improves after a good storm!
