SPA(tralee side of fenit)

People:SeanP and myself

Duration:8pm to 10.30pm

Tide:low at 8.40pm

Weather:mild south westerly

Bait:mackeral/sandeel

Rigs:pulley

Results:Caught 1 thornie and 1 blond ray both about the 6 lb mark.Bad weed on both the flood and ebb and crabs were a nightmare.Mackeral was lasting no more than 5 mins but the sand eel lasted a bit longe

hi bigcol,,,,sounds like you guys were trying for a sting ray,,,any reports of sting rays been cought in that area,,,,,

Yup.We were having a go at catching stingray :) .Have reports of a few smallish ones caught but better off on a very sunny day with no wind.Btw. the water was very warm so it bodes well for the ray .

Hi Phil,
There is a very good chance we will be out somewhere that week as we have some friends over then and he is keen on the fishing, I still have to check out that slip at Brandon to see if its suitable for the tranny van, how far out do you need go round there?
