weather looking good and wanting the first outing of 09 decided today was going to be the day headed about 10 high water at 12ish quiet for the first hour then pout after pout next into a few pollack and a red gurnard a lot of poor cod a doggie and a lot of very undersize codling next up was an octupus and ballan and cuckoo wrasse with lots of good sized whiting , not a bad start to 09

all i could do was look from the air at the lovely calm sea!!
Pity you did'nt come across that nice bait that a boat had out of kilmore the other day, some nice size ones too

nice one barry,great to get out and good fishing,was out sunday but not really fishing,but a beautifull day out,were you in the usual spots,i saw a lot of trawlers in the distance there on sunday,regards,eddie.........

Ya Eddie started at the hook and worked east about four miles lots of cod but none any bigger than 7 inches !! nice to get the first trip of 09 in

what would be you favorite rigs and colours out of dunmore, for cod ling pollack ect....
