Veals mail order

#1 Post by Steve »

Hi all,

I bought a Daiwa spinning rod from Veals about 6 weeks ago, but didn't get the opportunity to use it until last night. Unfortunately the rod snapped at the spigot during my 5th or 6th cast, which as you can imagine, left me feeling extremely annoyed and depressed!

I emailed Veals this morning (more in hope than expectation), and explained what happened to them. They contacted me within an hour to say that they would post a replacement, free of charge, to me immediately. In fact they have just emailed me again to say I will receive it by Friday.

This, to me, is what service is all about.

Despite the fact that it actually was my first time using it yesterday, they could easily have fobbed me off because I had bought it six weeks ago, and claimed it was outside the 30 day return limit etc.

Not only that, but they have not requested that I return the rod before they despatch a new one (as most companies would), they have told me that there is no rush in sending it back, to do it in my own time.

I have always found them to be exceptionally efficient, with email enquiries normally being answered on the same day they are sent (in contrast to a lot of the big mail order places who never even bothered replying to my emails). It's no wonder these guys get voted the "best mail order company" every year.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough!

Ordered a tripod and some other stuff from veals at the start of the month. After a week or so I began to wonder where it was, so e-mailed Veals. Apparently City Link left the gear at another address coz nobody was at home, but didn't leave a card to say where. So I couldn't collect it.
Anyway, long story short....Veal's sent a second package overnight to my work address. Just in time to do some fishing on my Hol's West Cork. 8)

I have always found Veal's excellent to deal with and usually deliver within a couple of days.

Service, professionalism, packaging of items, after sales, delivery. All alive and well with Veals. Never an issue.

The level of customer care veals give is truly outstanding.Had a problem at christmas and could not believe how professional and quick veals dealt with the problem. Second to none when it comes to customer care unfortuneately the idiots who deliver the products when they get here are clowns(nightline I think their called). A nightmare to deal with the complete opposite of veals.

The new rod was delivered yesterday, less than 24 hours after I first mailed them explaining the problem. What can you say about that! Fantastic!
