Open to IFSA card holders only.

Did not expect entries from under 16's as Cork has no under 16's anglers fishing in the Munster under 16 shore league       . If they do turn up they will not be charged an entry fee and we'll put up a good prize for the winner.

Anglers over 16 are classed as senoirs but they also have their own under 21 Munster shore league

This turned out to be an angler bashing session
Whiting PLEASE come back all is forgiven

Anglers: 20
Fish Caught: A big ZERO

From the off things were not looking good. Even with no weed to contend with the strong Easterly wind and a big surf running saw lines been pulled up the beach to the right.
Even anglers who stayed short had the same problem.
After an hour of this I rigged up two 6oz. leads with about 10" of shockleader between them. It bought me an extra 5-10 minutes outside before it ended 30yds. up the beach without the bait been touched.
Back at the Walter Raleigh all the cards were coming all blanks.

First raffle of the night was the €160 for the optional pool this was split into 4 @ €40
Winners: Olivia O'Driscoll, Mick Maher, Steve O'Neill and Paudie O'Driscoll

The Main raffle saw Ken Hogan win the Penn 525, Hugh Cronin - the rod stand, Myself - the beach buddy and Paudie O' Drscoll the match organiser.

Driving home and trying to find excuses on the lack of fish the only good thing I could take out of the night was the raffle results. With everyone's peg number put into the box for the 2 seperate draws all the winners were anglers who had come back to the bar

A big thank you to the Walter Raleigh for the sandwiches, probley the highlight of the day.

No fish were killed to make this report, a good night for the conservation.
